"I haven't been out there to check it out, so I'm hoping the maps are mostly correct and we don't wind up wandering the desert for too long." He paused, then raised a hand. "Can that be the first rule? No extensive desert wandering? I don't want someone to find my bleached-out skeleton years and years from now. 'Here lies Victor, he got lost in the desert.'
