"Yeah, I don't have anything motivational, really. Not my thing. But not dying I can definitely do," Dave says, though he's not one-hundred percent on that. This is mischief like nothing he's gotten into before. Sure, he's trespassed a couple of times for football parties and shit like that, but this is real, heavy stuff. Even it they're only checking the place out first.
But still, he's mostly sure he can handle himself, as long as those ghosties are only a legend the island whipped up. If not for nothing, Dave Karofsky has a strong will to survive as long as things aren't rock bottom for him, be that socially or in the simplest sense of the word. That's why he's got on the sturdiest and most comfortable clothes he could find, including a pair of thick leather gloves tucked into a belt pouch the clothing box was generous in providing. He's also dropped by the infirmary and snagged some bandages. Just in case.
"There anything we need to grab before going off, though? Like, rope? Or a lantern?" He's inwardly cursing himself for getting so excited that he didn't think to locate a general store for stuff like that before heading on to New Pemberly. But then again, he didn't want to look like an overloaded idiot.
